Always the makeup artist, never the bride&#8230; and that\u2019s ok.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<h4><b>Single Life, Choices &amp; Figuring It Out<\/b><\/h4>\n<div>Having not always been the best judge of character when it comes to men, I have made peace with my single girl lifestyle and I actually love it.<\/div>\n<div>I\u2019m not saying I would turn down a potential love match, but I\u2019m also not actively seeking it, so it\u2019s going to have to be a chance encounter. Does this actually happen outside of a rom com?<\/div>\n<div>You may or may not know I&#8217;ve never had children (which is always a controversial subject when it comes to mums who can\u2019t help but question why you wouldn\u2019t want that little bundle of joy), I mean I don\u2019t question why you had children!<\/div>\n<div>But, if you must know, just refer back to the bad choices of men then that\u2019s your answer as to why and then I ran out of time.<\/div>\n<div>At this point in my life, when I am peri menopausal, constantly tired, always forgetting things (I would forget what I had done with said child), plus have you seen all my travel plans, I wouldn\u2019t be able to do both.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<h4><b>Perimenopause, HRT &amp; Getting Through It<\/b><\/h4>\n<div>HRT is my saviour. If it\u2019s something you\u2019re thinking of, go to your doctors armed with your symptoms; even the ones you think aren\u2019t related. They likely are.<\/div>\n<div>I went through a stage of wanting to drive my car into a tree. I couldn\u2019t tell you why, I just felt that down. So low and with zero energy I felt lost.<\/div>\n<div>Now I feel I can take on the world again.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<h4><b>Work, Passion &amp; Doing What I Love<\/b><\/h4>\n<div>I\u2019ve always been lucky enough when it comes to work that I love my job. I always wanted to work in this industry and have been able to.<\/div>\n<div>Don\u2019t get me wrong, it\u2019s not just fallen in my lap, I work really hard for it. I never really stop working. I think that happens a lot when you run your own business; it\u2019s hard to switch off.<\/div>\n<div>I laugh every day at work. I have the most amazing clients and it makes me happy to do this work.<\/div>\n<div>Being part of someone\u2019s wedding day and making them feel like their best self is a priceless feeling. Also, with my beauty work, making people feel relaxed and pampered, there aren\u2019t many jobs that have an effect like this.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<h4><b>Mindset &amp; Looking Forward<\/b><\/h4>\n<div>I try never to regret the things I have done and the choices I made. Ultimately, it\u2019s made me who I am today.<\/div>\n<div>There is no point focusing on the past, you can\u2019t change it and it\u2019s no good focusing on the negative stuff.<\/div>\n<div>I\u2019m desperate to not end up a grumpy old lady, moaning about should have, could have, would haves.<\/div>\n<div>I love celebrating other women and their achievements, and because of this I have the most wonderful industry friends. She lights up my life and many other people\u2019s too.<\/div>\n<div>The most sassy Yorkshire Terrier. She\u2019s quite well known around Woodbridge where we live, always after cuddles and treats and flirting with men.<\/div>\n<div>A complete diva, where walking is always optional. She is living her best life at my expense. One of us has private medical insurance and it\u2019s not me.<\/div>\n<div>I wouldn\u2019t change her for anything. Life would be dull without her\u2026 but cheaper.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<h4><b>Fun Facts About Me<\/b><\/h4>\n<ul data-end=\"4833\" data-start=\"3479\">\n<li>\n<div role=\"presentation\">Eminem is my go-to music when I am feeling sad, you just can\u2019t mix the two<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>I love to bake (definitely not Bake Off material, I\u2019m more critical of myself than Mr Hollywood could ever be)<\/li>\n<li>I have the Friends logo tattooed on my leg (40th birthday + alcohol)<\/li>\n<li>\n<div role=\"presentation\">I\u2019ve always wanted to do a skydive but my ear operations prevent this, who knows, maybe one day I\u2019ll just take the risk<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div role=\"presentation\">If I could have dinner with anyone it would be Marilyn Monroe, she was the first female icon to me. Plus a red lip\u2026 just wow<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div role=\"presentation\">Controversial maybe, I love a crisp sandwich &#8211; Walkers plain is the only way to go<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>I\u2019m a pick and mix fiend<\/li>\n<li>My favourite flowers (incase anyone wants to buy me some) are roses and lilies<\/li>\n<li>Jo Malone\u2019s Pomegranate Noir is divine<\/li>\n<li>I am a jewellery magpie<\/li>\n<li>\n<div role=\"presentation\">Makeup is my kryptonite&#8230; I can\u2019t fight the urge to buy (my friends do not help discourage this either)<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div role=\"presentation\"><i>Pretty Woman<\/i>\u00a0will always be my favourite film, I watched it every Friday night when I used to babysit<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>I will visit Rodeo Drive and walk those stars hopefully very soon<\/li>\n<li>\n<div role=\"presentation\">I love reading travel books and planning my next hundred holidays. just have money and time issues<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>I\u2019m very old school and still work with paper diaries, and I love a notebook (I have at least half a dozen on the go)<\/li>\n<li>I have visited 19 countries but I\u2019m very bad around the UK<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><b>A Very Fun Final Fact<\/b><\/h4>\n<div>Here\u2019s a very fun fact to finish on and yes I did Google it as it seemed so wrong:<\/div>\n<div>Cleopatra lived closer in time to the invention of the iPhone than to the building of The Great Pyramid.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Although I have managed this decade better than others, I\u2019m not looking forward to hitting the next big \u20180\u2019.
